  Pier & Weather
The Pier is back!! With the hurricane season upon us, we can only pray we have rebuilt it so that it is strong enough that we can have a few years to enjoy it.

With October will come even more beautiful sunsets with enjoyabe outdoor sittingweather.

Weather conditions in Fairhope and surrounding areas are generally mild in winters and somewhat hot in July and August. The winter temperatures rarely reach freezing and generally ranges from the mid to high 40’s to 50’s at night to mid 60’s to 70’s during the day. Summers range from mid to high 60’s to 70’s at night to 80’s to 90’s during the day. During summers all homes, automobiles and businesses are air-conditioned. Water sports, fishing and boating, are possible year round with the exceptions of a few mid-winter days, generally less than 10, that approach freezing or below. Many days in January, February and March are pleasant enough for swimming; however water temperatures can be unpleasant.

Since we live in a semi-tropical climate, rain falls are high but together with warm sunny days make ideal growing conditions for the Gardner. This provides spectacular blooming flowers in the springs and summers. From the glorious spring appearance of the camellias, dogwoods and azaleas to the summer crate myrtles, hydraegelinas, wisterias and a plethora of other summer bloomers, the area is a garden paradise.

Few cities in the world have so much gardening attention and natural conditions for such an explosive array of beautiful flowers beginning in spring as Fairhope, Alabama.
